Our story
Why an Alumni Association
On 15th August 2021, we, the alumni, called Mr. Fareed, Assistant Headmaster of MHSS, and shared our wish to form an Alumni Association for our school. On 17th August 2021 we visited Muslim Higher Secondary School — a visit that took us right back to our childhood memories.
We learnt that the number of students had dropped very low. As a first step, our alumni team renovated the Computer Science lab — painting, electrical work, new LED lights and fans, and new seating — and donated five new computers. The renovated lab was inaugurated on 5th September 2021, Teachers’ Day.
To make the Association official, we held an Annual General Body Meeting on 14th November 2021 at Selvam Hall, Ellis Road, attended by around 100 alumni, and elected the Executive Committee.
The Association was formed with 14 Executive Committee members and is registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, with its own PAN and bank account for donations, so that we can serve the school professionally and help bring back its glory.
